Archer III is an attention-getting piece and hand wrapped in copper by Amanda’s Treasures. Two types of copper were used in this piece. The bail of Archer III is formed out of copper bezel wire and folded around the arrowhead and a scroll design is added, then a smaller gauge of copper wire is twisted to add a rope look. One chunky turquoise rock is worked into the bezel form. This type of arrowhead point is primarily found in Saskatchewan, Alberta Canada and red arrowhead points in this shape are primarily found in Montana. The meaning of the Arrowhead symbol was signified alertness. protection, defense, movement, force, swiftness, sureness, direction, and power. One idea is that arrowheads ward off evil spirits if pointed to the left. Native American arrowheads were made of stone and were made in a vast range of styles and sizes. I took archery in high school and ended up with more cherry burns than anything else because my wrists were too small for the wrist guards. My mother and one grandmother were pretty good at archery and won awards, so I guess I have a special affinity for anything archery related (the pain of cherry burns aside). This is the perfect gift for her or him!
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF COPPER WIRE JEWELRY
Over time your copper jewelry will patina. Please use a jewelry cloth to lightly shine your pieces, please do not use liquid jewelry cleaners. You will notice that you can not reach every surface with the jewelry cloth, the areas that are left untouched by the cloth will stay darkened, this adds a more dimensional look to your piece. I would not recommend you sleep or swim in your necklace. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me
